This is an iai , so it is not sharpened and cannot cut.
It is a safe martial arts tool that does not require registration or permits.

This product is from Minozaka, a long-established manufacturer of iai .
It is a surplus item from a martial artist, and the tsuka-ito (handle cord) shows signs of use, giving it a good texture different from a brand-new, shiny product. The striking cloisonné iron tsuba (hand guard) also serves as a nice accent.

The weight balance is optimized for iai, making it easy to swing and producing good hizori (the sound of the cutting through the air).
As expected from a mid-grade product from the domestically produced Minozaka, which supplies to dojos nationwide, the quality of each part is vastly superior to overseas products. The itself is, of course, made with the highest quality sand-cast molding.
Although the appearance is simple, it is a robust and excellent product for practice.

I am currently using another iai of the Gōtō (powerful ) style as my main , so I would like to pass this one on to someone who needs it.
It is recommended not only for beginners but also as a first for female practitioners due to its ease of handling.

[Product Condition]
- No rattling or looseness in the main body.
- Tsuba has been filed in some areas to remove rust. There are faint scuff marks on the that are only visible upon close inspection.
- Saya has repair marks. Adhesive tape has been applied for reinforcement to prevent damage during practice. The koiguchi (mouth of the saya) is slightly loose. The tsuka-ito has some fraying.
- Currently in a usable condition for practice.
