Vintage Pfaltzgraff Village 3-Quart Casserole Dish with Lid Farmhouse Stoneware

Condition Report  Base: The base is in pristine, excellent condition.  It rings clear and true when tapped, indicating no hairline cracks or structural issues. No crazing observed  Lid (Condition Notes): * There is a visible chip on the top of the finial. There are two small chips on the interior rim of the lid. There is a fine hairline crack on the lid. Note: It is smooth to the touch and sits under the glaze, suggesting it is stable and unlikely to propagate further with normal use, but it does prevent the lid from ringing like the base.  (BASE) VINTAGE CARE NOTE: This piece is in excellent condition and rings true! While originally marketed as oven-safe, I recommend the following for any vintage stoneware to ensure it lasts another 50 years:  MICROWAVE: Use with caution (low power/short intervals).  OVEN: Not recommended for high-heat baking. If warming, do not exceed 250°F and never place a cold dish into a preheated oven.  HAND WASH: Recommended to maintain the high-gloss glaze finish.
