SAWYER MICRO SQUEEZE FILTER SP2129 Unused Item

Sawyer Squeeze Water Filter SP2129

Purchased in February 2024, but never had the opportunity to use it, so I am listing it as unused.

The filter body contains a U-shaped hollow fiber membrane with countless 0.1-micron pores that filter water. This allows for a high-performance, compact, lightweight, and durable filter. 0.1 microns is equivalent to 0.0001mm, which is too small for common bacteria, typically ranging from 0.5 to 1 micron in size.
It is popular for hiking and long-distance trails as it allows you to drink directly from water sources like rivers and lakes. By filtering with an ultra-high-density filter, it removes 99.99999% of harmful bacteria, protozoa, and parasites like Giardia and Cryptosporidium, turning it into potable water.

Main uses include:
- Direct connection to standard disposable water bottles
- Connection to the included pouch
- Direct drinking with the included straw
- Connection to other hydration systems

Maintenance can be done by using the included cleaning syringe (without a needle) after use to flush clean water in the reverse direction, removing impurities and cleaning the filter. Backflushing can restore approximately 98% of the filter's functionality, allowing it to purify water as before.
The Micro Squeeze filter can also be backflushed without a syringe by attaching the included cleaning coupling to the mouthpiece and connecting a pouch or water bottle.
*If the filter seems to lose its effectiveness, we recommend repeating the backflushing process several times.

Filtration capacity: Approximately 380,000 liters
Filter dimensions: 12cm (length), 4.5cm (maximum diameter)
Filter weight: Approximately 53g
Includes instruction manual.
