Khukuri Knife Gurkha Knife Nepal Brass Paper Knife

11.09 $
Description
The British, noting the fierce close-quarters combat waged by Nepalese soldiers wielding kukris, hired them as mercenaries. For this reason, they are sometimes called Gurkha knives in English-speaking countries.

The kukri is a blade of the inner curve style, with the blade on the concave side of its curved blade. Its major features are the く (ku) shaped blade and the cho at its base, a notch shaped like ω.
The cho is also a characteristic of the kukri, and it is sometimes said to resemble female genitalia, the clitoris of Kali, or the penis of Shiva (each with proponents claiming their interpretation is absolute, but there is no definitive answer). There are various shapes of this cho, and there is no absolute rule that it must be a certain way.

Overall length: 9 inches, Blade length: 6 inches.
