◆ This is a cut branch of Gumi. Due to limited stock, we have changed the offering from pruning branches to cuttings for propagation.
You will receive 5 new branches, each 20-25 cm long. We will also include smaller branches suitable for miniature plants.
After hydrating the branches, they will be moisturized and protected with a very dilute solution of Menédeil before shipping.
This plant is also suitable for miniature gardening. We hope you can grow many seedlings!
Flowers began to bloom in mid-March. In May, we harvested many red berries.

◆ Our Gumi Tree
It is said to have arrived at our home as a large sapling about 45 years ago. It has grown well even after being transplanted in front of the entrance about 20 years ago.
In early summer, the Gumi tree adds beautiful color to the garden with the contrast of red and green.
New shoots grow tall. Utilizing these branches, we create a pleasant shade in the summer by letting the branches droop. The dappled sunlight is refreshing.
Every year, many large fruits ripen, and we pick them while gardening.
The unique astringency is also a characteristic of Gumi. We also enjoy making syrup with granulated sugar and mixing it with sparkling water.
In winter, wild birds often perch on the leafless branches. In spring, they don't seem interested in the Gumi berries, and we haven't seen them peck at them. This is reassuring from a hygiene perspective.
We look forward to this tree growing in the garden of someone who will cherish it.

Thank you for your understanding.
