Tachikichi Red Lacquerware Lidded Simmered Dish Bowls, Set of 3
10.00 $
Description
This is a set of 3 lidded steamed bowls with red painted designs from Tachikichi (Tachikichi).
They have been stored for a long time in my in-laws' kitchen cupboard.
These products are from Tachikichi, a long-established Japanese tableware brand from Kyoto, featuring a design with vibrant red paintings on a white *kohiki* (powdered white glaze) background. They can be used not only as chawanmushi (savory egg custard) bowls but also as nimono-wan (simmered dish bowls) or ko-suimono-wan (small soup bowls).
This is a set of lidded bowls, decorated with auspicious patterns such as arabesque and bird-and-flower motifs.
As shown in photo 6, there are several scuff marks and chips on the underside of the lid, where it meets the bowl. Additionally, as shown in photo 7, there is a chip on the raised foot on the bottom underside. There is also a scratch near the rim on the side of the same bowl that feels slightly rough when traced with a finger. Photos 7 and 8 show the same bowl.
The price is mostly for shipping and Mercari fees. Please refrain from price reductions except for multiple purchases of items that can be bundled together.
