This is a basic nymph pattern that is effective in any situation.
It's a swimmer type, often used when targeting Yamame trout in rapids.
Because it sinks quickly, in still waters like stocked fishing ponds, it's effective to let it sink to the bottom and then create an action that makes it float up towards the surface.

Furthermore, children, women, and beginners who are new to fly fishing can enjoy it by using it with bait fishing tackle.
For the tackle, take about the length of your rod in 0.6 or 0.8 monofilament line, attach a through-hole float, and tie the fly to the end. If you want to sink it to the bottom, attach a swivel and place a weight above it.

Can be used in bait fishing areas of stocked fishing ponds.

This allows even women who are not fond of live bait to enjoy fishing, and you'll find fish that have stopped responding to salmon roe or grubs hitting surprisingly well.

Please give it a try.
