Rare! Issei-saku Yoshi-no-sho Satsuma Boxwood Variegated Carved Pieces / Unused, with Paulownia Wood Box

This is a work by Kissei Araki, a master craftsman from the Kansai region.

He studied under the great master of modern Shogi pieces, Ryoson Kumazawa, honing his skills in piece production. With over 20 years of experience, he is a highly skilled craftsman.
His talent was recognized, and his work was featured as a modern master in the June 2016 issue of Shogi Sekai.

The calligraphy style is Yoshiyuki, believed to be a unique custom order inscribed by Master Yoshiyuki Kita-da, also known as Josui from the Tokyo Koma Kenkyukai (Shogi Piece Research Group).
The wood is mottled Satsuma boxwood, a beautifully textured and high-quality wood.
We believe this piece exudes an indescribable, tasteful charm.

Includes 2 extra歩 (pawns) and a paulownia flat box.
