Antique Spode's Georgian pink,‎ blue, and white, early Ironstone plate, 6.5 in.

Josiah Spode founded his eponymous pottery in Stoke-on-Trent, England in 1770, and his company would go on to become virtually a household name in British transferware china. While Spode was known for blue designs early on, the pottery expanded its transferware range to red, green, brown, black, and various other colors over time. This lovely little pink, blue, and white transferware plate is in excellent antique condition with no chips, cracks or scratches. Based on the backstamp, it dates from the early 19th century. The Chinoiserie pattern is bright and colorful, and the glaze is still glossy.
