Vintage Carved Soapstone 5x7 Picture Frame by Zhongyi Arts, Polished Olive Green
Zhongyi Arts
50.00 $
Description
A beautiful vintage natural stone picture frame, hand-carving and hand-polishing by the late-20th-century export collective Zhongyi Arts (中艺). The company makes this heavy piece unique, featuring a stunning olive/mustard green tone with an organic glass-smooth finish. The bottom left corner is detailed with a hand-sculpted, bas-relief rose and botanical motif. It is cold to the touch and carries the substantial heft of true earthen mineral stone. The back is wrapped in its original plush burgundy velvet and retains the authentic oval gold 中艺 MADE IN CHINA makers stamp/sticker on the easel stand. Excellent vintage condition. Minimal surface wear consistent with age. No chips or cracks in the stone structure. The easel feels a bit loose.
