RARE Vintage 1960s Brooks Brothers Plaid Wool Tweed ~34 waist USA Union Made

These are rare 1960s jewel-toned plaid wool trousers by Brooks Brothers, made in the USA in 100% wool.  The interior carries two significant labels: the prestigious “Brooks Brothers Makers, Established 1818” label, and an Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America union label, a hallmark that precisely dates these to the pre-1976 era when the union was active, almost certainly the 1950s–60s.  The glen plaid/houndstooth pattern features a rich mix of grey, cream, yellow, red and dark navy in a classic British-inspired weave. Flat front, slash pockets, full lining — tailoring details you simply don’t find at this price point today. The cropped/ankle length gives them a very wearable, modern feel.  Approximate waist: 34”.
