Vintage Westmoreland 1933 Spiral Milk Glass Candlesticks Pair  MILK GLASS IN MOTION  This is what milk glass can become when it stops being merely sweet and turns sculptural.  Two open spirals rise from substantial square bases, wrapping around slender taper candles like ribbons caught in motion. From across the room, the pair appears brilliantly white and architectural. Up close, the glass reveals luminous milk swirls and pearly ribbons suspended within—beautiful traces of molten glass moving through the molds.  The design matches Westmoreland’s No. 1933 Line Spiral candlesticks, also called Spiral Twist or Lotus Spiral. “1933” is the Westmoreland pattern designation and does not indicate the year of manufacture.  These examples are unmarked and no longer retain their original foil labels; attribution is based upon the documented pattern, construction, measurements and matching labeled examples. Perfect vintage condition.
