Vintage Colonial Williamsburg Restoration Combed Slipware Redware Dish 7.5
WILLIAMSBURG
Beautiful mid-century historical reproduction of an 18th-century English combed/feathered slipware dish. This piece was authorized by the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation and produced by the Williamsburg Restoration Pottery between 1936 and the late 1950s. It features a classic yellow/cream-glazed interior with traditional brown combed slip lines, a dark rim, and an unglazed redware/clay underside. The bottom features the highly desirable, early-era raised white clay sprig-mold medallion stamp reading WILLIAMSBURG RESTORATION wrapped around the official CW 4 and XX printer's mark monogram. A fantastic piece of American historical folk art revival for collectors of early Williamsburg craft house items or country farmhouse decor.
