Vintage Handmade Pink White Striped Strippy Quilt Hand Quilted Cutter Twin 59x84  A wonderfully timeworn vintage handmade striped quilt in soft pink and cream, featuring alternating solid and delicate floral-striped panels with beautiful hand quilting throughout. The quilting includes large geometric and heart-like motifs that give this piece wonderful old textile character. Finished with a narrow multicolor striped binding and a light solid reverse.  Measures approximately 59 x 84 and weighs 4 lb 8 oz. Closest in size to a narrow twin/single quilt or oversized throw. It will cover the top of a standard twin mattress, although it is narrower than most modern twin bed blankets.  Likely vintage; exact age and origin are unknown. The construction and extensive hand quilting suggest an older handmade textile. The alternating-strip construction is traditionally known as a strippy quilt.  Condition: well-loved distressed vintage condition with visible tears/holes, worn and thinning fabric, fraying and losses along the binding, loose stitching, discoloration/staining and old repairs.
