Vintage Imari Style Porcelain Salt Shaker Silver-Tone Lid 3" Unmarked

Charming vintage porcelain salt shaker or muffineer featuring an Imari-style floral design in cobalt blue, rust red, white, and gold.  The shaker has a removable silver-colored metal lid with decorative dispensing holes and a small center finial. Muffineers were traditionally used to sprinkle powdered sugar, cinnamon, salt, or other seasonings over muffins, toast, and desserts.  This smaller example would make an attractive addition to an Imari-style porcelain collection, vintage kitchen display, tea-table arrangement, or china cabinet.  Condition: Porcelain is in very good vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs reported. The metal lid has tarnish, scratches, and age-related surface wear. Some wear to the gold-colored decoration and interior and bottom discoloration are visible. Please review all photographs carefully.  Because the maker, age, and metal content are unknown, decorative or collectible use is recommended.
