Up for sale is an authentic vintage mid-century clear glass replacement lid for kitchen canisters or apothecary storage jars. Design: Features a beautiful molded sunburst/starburst pattern on the top finial handle. Manufacturer Marks: Features the embossed Owens-Illinois Glass Company maker's mark (I inside an oval, introduced in 1954) directly on the inner glass collar. Sealing Ring: Includes the flexible sheer plastic inner gasket ring. The ring is explicitly stamped with US Patent No. 2,614,727 (issued October 1952). Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The glass is crisp and clear with no chips, cracks, or flea bites. The plastic seal ring remains clean and fully flexible.
