Description
Whimsical black cat Halloween candy bucket/container with wonderful vintage-inspired folk art styling. Features hand-painted green cat eyes, smiling toothy face, whiskers, pointed ears and a twisted wire carrying handle with black wooden grip. Substantial display size measuring approx. 12 across from ear to ear. Appears to be papier-mâché/composition with a deliberately aged, primitive-style black finish. Unmarked; maker and exact age unknown. I have not attributed this piece to a specific manufacturer. Excellent for a vintage Halloween collection, spooky-season vignette, primitive/folk art decor, candy display or black cat collection. Halloween black cat, candy bucket, candy container, papier mache, paper mache, vintage style Halloween, folk art, primitive Halloween, spooky decor, trick or treat pail, witch decor, cat collectible, Johanna Parker style. Preowned with surface wear/patina consistent with the style; please review photos.
