Mexican folk art, Talavera pottery ashtray (also usable as a decorative plate...)
10.56 $
Description
This is a Talavera pottery ashtray purchased in Mexico.
It has never been used or displayed, and was found in a storage box in the closet after purchase.
There are four spots on the corners for placing cigarettes, but it can also be displayed as a decorative plate or used as a serving dish.
The design is typical of Talavera pottery, with a bird in the center and leaves and flowers painted around it.
Unusually for Mexican crafts, which often feature primary colors, this piece has a gentle and elegant color palette.
Size: 17 x 17 x 2.5 cm
