Vintage electroplated silver-plated 3-light candelabra Barker-Ellis items bearing the made in England text alongside the iconic shell hallmark are high-quality heavy silverplate (often silver over copper) Georgian Revival style, three-light convertible silver-plated candelabra manufactured in Birmingham, England. Convertible Feature: The upper sweeping loop-arm piece is removable. This allows it to function either as a three-candle candelabra or a standalone single candlestick. The base of this piece features a stamped cartouche containing a scallop shell, which was a hallmark registered by the company in 1912.
