Pearl Masterworks MW1455 Snare Drum

This is a fully custom-ordered item from Pearl's top-tier Masterworks series.
It is a handmade, made-to-order model crafted by artisans.

*Reason for Selling
After experiencing the vintage sound of L Company from the 1960s, I've come to seek a sound image that resonates as a surface rather than just points, which is why I am selling this item.

*Shell Construction
Designed with the goal of a fat sound with a solid core that combines softness with clarity.

Inner layers: Mahogany / Gumwood / Mahogany (6ply 5.4mm)
Outer layers: 2ply Maple 1.8mm with carefully selected grain (for dyed finish)
→ Total 8ply / 7.2mm

It produces a sound that balances clarity and a solid core while possessing a rich mid-low range and warmth.

*Modifications
・Canopus Chrome Over Brass Washer
・Bolt Tite installed
・Tension bolts SST-5052.
・Snare wires: Canopus Vintage 20 strands (unplated)

*Condition
While not in brand-new condition, it has seen limited use and is in excellent overall condition.
There are no noticeable scratches on either the shell or hardware.
Approximately 20 hours of studio use.
It has been stored in a case with humidity control after use.

*Finish
Marine Fade Satin
An original color created based on my own color design, themed around the colors of the deep sea.

Although the model number is listed as MW, this color is equivalent to the MWC price range specification.
A new custom order with the same configuration would cost approximately ¥130,000.

*Musical Suitability
Used with Evans Calftone and Remo BA for
Acoustic Jazz, Blues, Pops, and R&B.

It shows excellent response in these genres.

While theoretically capable of rock applications, I cannot guarantee performance as I have no practical experience using it for rock.

This drum has been used and stored with great care. I would be happy to pass it on to someone who understands its value.
