Vintage Crown Trifari gold-tone brooch featuring the iconic sculptural Swirled Shell design. The reverse is signed Crown Trifari and stamped DES. PAT. NO. The patent number appears consistent with U.S. Design Patent D137,545, an Alfred Philippe design filed in 1944 for Trifari. Due to the curvature of the stamping, the patent number is partially obscured, but the design closely matches the documented patented shell brooch.
